Theoretical Orientations & Evidence-Based Interventions

I combine evidence-based interventions into individualized treatment plans for you, your child, and/or your family. I am person-, child-, and family-centered. This means I collaborate with you at the beginning of therapy to determine your goals and consistently check in with you to be sure we’re meeting your needs. I also acknowledge the problematic history of psychological and medical interventions, particularly when serving neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, and/or non-White individuals.

  • Read more about my stance on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) here. Dr. Stephanie has an extensive training background in ABA and behavior as a clinical and school psychologist, but Empowered Together is a neurodiversity-affirming practice.
