Consultation & Advocacy
Help navigating complicated and confusing systems.
When you aren’t sure what to ask for, who to talk to, or how to translate mental health, psychological, or neurodivergent needs into practical supports, consultation can help bridge that gap. I provide neurodiversity-affirming consultation and advocacy for children, adolescents, college students, adults, and families navigating school, workplace, and disability systems.

Do I need an evaluation or consultation?
You may need an assessment if:
You’re not sure about diagnosis or disagree with a former diagnosis.
You know things aren’t working but you’re just not sure why.
Current diagnoses don’t fully explain the difficulties you’re experiencing.
You need documentation that clearly connects a diagnosis to its real-world impact.
You need objective data to support decisions about treatment, accommodations, school planning, or other services.
You may need consultation and advocacy services if you already have enough information but:
You aren’t sure about which services, accommodations, or next steps make the most sense.
You need help understanding testing that has already been completed.
You want a professional ally with you to help explain the process in vivo so you can be a more active participant and self-advocate.
You’ve tried advocating in the past, and the schools, doctors, or HR just don’t seem to listen to your concerns.
You want the support of a professional at important meetings and appointments.
Sometimes both are useful.
An evaluation can identify and document needs, while consultation and advocacy services can help you translate those findings into practical supports.
Fees
Overview
Fees range by service and client need. We reserve a limited number of sliding scale appointments to enable access to all clients, regardless of ability to pay.
Telehealth Consultation: $300 per hour
Out-of-Office Advocacy: $300 per hour + $25 travel fee per visit
It is usually helpful for the psychologist to accompany you to meetings with the school, such as an IEP meeting, or to a pediatric medical appointment, to help you advocate for needed services and supports. Advocacy in person beyond the clinic, when not included with an assessment, is charged at $300 an hour plus a small travel fee to cover the cost of roundtrip mileage and time away from the clinic. An additional travel fee may be included if travel is required outside of 15 miles of the office.
Out-of-Office Advocacy with Assessment: $300 per hour + $25 travel fee per visit
Insurance
I provide superbills upon request that you may submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. Sometimes advocacy services can fall under child or parent therapy for billing purposes. Please consult with your insurance provider for more information about your policy.
